Privacy, plain and simple.

The app

Music Box is built to work entirely on your device. It has no sign-in, no ads and no analytics, and it does not contact any server of ours or anyone else’s while you use it. Your tapes and settings never leave your device.

The app does not ask for access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone or photos, and it contains no tracking or advertising code. In App Store terms: Data Not Collected.

Backups

Your device’s backup settings may include app data — your tapes and settings — in an Apple backup (iCloud or a computer). You control those backups through your device and Apple account settings; we never receive them.

Purchase

Music Box is bought through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; the developer receives no personal information from it. There are no in-app purchases. Apple’s own privacy policy covers the purchase.

Sharing

A tape file or a video leaves your device only when you choose to share it, through the system share sheet. Whoever or whatever you send it to — a friend, a messaging app, a cloud drive — receives it under their own terms and privacy policy; we never see it.

This website

This website is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers — the fonts and the sound samples are served from the site itself.

It is hosted on Google’s Firebase Hosting. Like any web host, the hosting provider may process technical data needed to deliver pages — such as your IP address and the time of the request — for security and reliability. We do not use it to identify or track visitors.

If you write to us

When you email support we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem you describe, and we don’t share it. Ask us to delete the conversation and we will.

Children

Music Box is rated 4+. Because it collects nothing from anyone, it collects nothing from children either.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct or delete — under GDPR, the CCPA or any similar law. If you have written to us and want that correspondence erased, or you have any other privacy question, email us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Because the app collects nothing, we don’t expect that to happen — and any change would never apply retroactively to data, because there is none.
